The main beach on Perhentian Kecil, a white-sand bay with dive centres, simple chalets and good snorkelling, popular with backpackers.
💡 نصيحة محليةSpeedboats run from Kuala Besut jetty; a marine park conservation fee is charged. The islands largely close during the Nov–Feb monsoon. Long Beach is the backpacker hub, with dive shops and beach bars; halal food is easier in the fishing village on the island's south side.
